Blessed Carlo and His Journey

Carlo Acutis was born on May 3, 1991, in London to Italian parents, Andrea Acutis and Antonia Salzano. From a young age, Carlo displayed a profound love for God and a strong faith that would guide his life.

Early Life and Diagnosis

In 1991, the Acutis family moved to Milan, Italy. Carlo's parents raised him in a deeply religious household, where he attended Mass daily and spent hours in prayer and contemplation. At the age of seven, Carlo was diagnosed with acute promyelocytic leukemia, a rare and aggressive form of cancer.

Offering His Suffering

Despite his diagnosis, Carlo remained steadfast in his faith and offered his suffering for the good of others. He offered prayers for those in need, donated to charitable causes, and encouraged others to do the same. Carlo's message of love, compassion, and perseverance became an inspiration to countless people around the world.

Beatification and Legacy

Carlo Acutis passed away peacefully on October 12, 2006, at the age of 15. His life and witness left an enduring legacy. He was beatified by Pope Francis on October 10, 2020, in a ceremony held at the Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi in Assisi, Italy.
